A Crab Season Begins with a Bang for Monterey Seafood Restaurants

Aside from Dungeness crab, our Monterey restaurant treats customers to tasty Alaskan Red King Crab (made famous by the television show ""Deadliest Catch""), which also happens to be in season. Also delivered fresh to our dock daily are Monterey Bay spot prawns, which are among the tastiest prawns in the West Coast. Peak season The demand for Dungeness crab dishes is expected to rise as the season kicks off. Some fisherman have reportedly hauled in more 20,000 pounds of crab in three days? and when the pickings are good, prices tend to plateau. This has prompted visitors and locals alike to make a mad dash to their favorite seafood haunts for some delectable crab fare. Diners who want to get their fix of sumptuous Monterey seafood will be wise to make reservations well in advance to beat the rush and not get left hung out to dry.
